My Spelling Words 06.4.1
My Spelling Words effectively drills your child on their spelling words utilizing special algorithms you can customize. It took over a year to develop. Not because it was technically difficult to write, but because Chris and I were constantly modifying its form, function and methods until we were both pleased. The results have been astounding. Chris now spends about 15 minutes a day using the program.
My involvement is virtually nil. Since he’s started using My Spelling Words he’s gotten 100% on most of his tests. And best of all, Chris doesn’t dread spelling anymore. I’ve seen him double his practice time, just because he wants to increase his scores.
My Spelling Words has other features as well. You can review past word lists, grouped by grade level. There are different exercises that kick in automatically to help learn difficult words. There’s a parent alarm that lets you know when it’s time to get involved. You can also export or import word lists. And there are even features to help adults improve their spelling. I use it myself.
